Cisco Part Number: MA-INJ-6 is a Cisco Meraki Multigigabit 802.3bt Power over Ethernet Injector

The Meraki Multigigabit PoE Injector, model MA-INJ-6, offers enhanced flexibility and cost savings by streamlining installation processes. One major challenge in designing wireless networks is ensuring power availability. The need to run power cables significantly drives up installation expenses. However, with the Meraki Multigigabit PoE Injector, both data and power can be delivered to a Meraki access point through a single Ethernet cable. This capability allows for deploying devices precisely where they are needed to achieve optimal wireless coverage, all at a significantly reduced installation cost.

The MA-INJ-6 injector is fully compliant with 802.3bt standards and includes features such as detection, disconnect, short-circuit, and overload protection. This ensures that only devices compatible with 802.3bt, 802.3at, and 802.3af standards receive power, preventing damage to non-compliant devices.

Cisco Meraki MA-INJ-6 PoE Adapter:

  • Reduces cost and simplifies installations by eliminating the need to provide separate power line
  • Increases installation flexibility by powering devices from up to 100 meters away
  • Fully IEEE 802.3bt standard compliant
  • Supports 10/100/1000BASE-T and 10 Gbps Multigigabit Ethernet
  • Power, load detection and fault diagnostics LEDs

With this injector, it becomes feasible to power the latest Wifi-6, 6E, and future WiFi-7 devices that rely on 802.3bt power delivered via 10G Multigigabit interfaces. Additionally, it offers backward compatibility with older 802.11n devices requiring traditional 802.3af power. Whether deploying cutting-edge or legacy devices, using Multigigabit 802.3bt Power over Ethernet simplifies the installation process and ensures that power limitations do not compromise network design
